The USC Speech and Hearing Research Center is a “fee for
service” provider for both evaluation and treatment.
Insurance and other third-party reimbursement (e.g.
Medicaid, Medicare, BabyNet) is accepted. Click here for
a list of fees and in-network insurance providers. Be
sure to contact your insurance carrier to ensure that
speech services are covered by your plan.
Many insurance carriers require a
pre-authorization before services can be provided
and a co-pay fee. The co-pay fee is the
responsibility of the insured and is due at the time of
service. Our administrative staff is able to determine
pre-authorization and co-pay fees in many cases. They
may need to contact you for additional information. A
physician referral is also required. If a physician
referred you for services it is likely that you already
have a statement of medical need. Our administrative
staff can assist you with this process if you do not
have a physician referral.
