USCeRA
USC's Electronic Research Administration (pronounced "you-sarah") is the
web-based internal routing system for all external grant applications and
contracts and internal IRB applications and exemption requests as well as some
internal grant applications. Through USCeRA, uploaded documents are
electronically routed and signed by Chairs, Directors, the Dean's Office,
internal partners, and USC's Sponsored Awards Management (SAM) office prior to
submission to the funding organization. Please note that applications are not
submitted to the funder through USCeRA. Whether electronic or in paper form,
applications are submitted to funders through a separate process.
Faculty,
staff, and students may obtain a USCeRA username and password and can access
E-Learning USCeRA training at this site.
Grants.gov
Grants.gov is the portal for information on federal funding
opportunities and electronic grant application submissions. Nearly
all federal applications must be submitted through Grants.gov. Since
USC is registered with Grants.gov, USC PIs do not need to register
as an individual to log in and use the system.
National Institutes of Health eRA Commons
NIH requires that a PI have an eRA Commons Username to apply for an
NIH grant and to conduct business with NIH. Contact Stephanie
Harrison
harrisst@mailbox.sc.edu 777-5241for an NIH eRA Commons Username.
National Science Foundation FastLane
