Practitioners' Course Scholarships

Funding is available for one state health department physical activity practitioner to attend the 2012 Physical Activity and Public Health Course: Practitioners’ Course on Community Interventions (PAPH). The PAPH Course will be held September 13-19, 2012 at The Lodge at the Mountain Village in Park City, UT. The PAPH Course is sponsored by University of South Carolina and CDC and is entering its 18th year of successful training for researchers and public health practitioners.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must work for a state health department as a physical activity practitioner. The scholarship selection process is integrated into the course application process - only formal applicants for the course will be considered for the scholarship. Those who wish to be considered for the scholarship must clearly indicate this in their application. Interested applicants for the course should go to www.sph.sc.edu/paph for course information and instructions on how to apply. Applications for the course are due by May 15, 2012.
