From the Director
Whether you’re a student, faculty member, or practitioner, the Office of Public Health Practice is here to help you improve your skills and competencies through practice-based education, research, and experiences.
Currently, we offer an online Continuing Education Program in Public Health Practice (CEPPHP), developed through funding from The Duke Endowment , through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded SC Public Health Training Center. This program is a non-academic credit continuing education certificate program based on the core public health competencies identified by the Council on Linkages.
Also, students, faculty and practitioners can now utilize Opportunity Manager, a web-based placement tool, an interactive, one-stop public health resource for finding, posting, and sharing practice opportunities, which can be found on MySPH.
All of these activities tie into the exciting new South Carolina Public Health Training Center.
These are just a few of our new developments, and we’re excited about how they’ll work to strengthen public health teaching, research, and experience. Want to join us? Check out our programs. Be a part of a venture that involves people, practice, and progress.
