Continuing Education Program
in Public Health Practice

The Continuing Education Program in Public Health Practice (CEPPHP) is a non-academic credit, continuing education certificate program that is based on the core public health competencies identified by the Council on Linkages. The CEPPHP is intended for professionals (or future professionals) who want to enhance their understanding of public health practice and build skills in key areas. The CEPPHP was developed by the SC Public Health Consortium, a joint project of South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and the University of South Carolina (USC) with funding from The Duke Endowment. The courses continue to be offered through the South Carolina Public Health Training Center with funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

The CEPPHP consists of a pre-requisite course and five core courses.

The CEPPHP will eventually be offered to students outside of DHEC.
