Welcome to the Healthcare Executive Student Association
HESA provides a network for students in healthcare administration to meet, exchange ideas and advance both academically and professionally.
Goals and Mission
The mission of HESA is to encourage professional development and growth among students interested in health services, policy and management through various programs and activities. Its goals include staying current with healthcare management issues, expanding healthcare management knowledge and helpingto shape the future of healthcare managers.
What we do
HESA serves students in the Health Services, Policy and Management Department of the University of South Carolina Arnold School of Public Health. We provide opportunities for students to hear speakers relevant to health administration and sponsor social events for students to mingle with health care professionals in the community. We assist first-year students in their transition into the graduate program by providing mentors and contacts for Graduate Assistantships. We participate in various community service activities and attend the national conference of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
