PROJECT
OVERVIEW/
ABSTRACT: |
• A three-year study funded by the Office for the Study of
Aging and Health and Human Services
• Phase I: Develop a Model for developing a functional
abilities assessment test battery and test the model on
community dwelling, healthy older adults
• Phase II: Test the model using individuals enrolled in
community long term care services at an adult day care
center and compare results with Phase I data
• Phase III: Test the model in individuals enrolled in
community long term care services in the home and compare
results with Phase II data
• Train health care professionals to use the test battery
and examine the efficacy of the use of the battery for
identifying individuals eligible for community long term
care services |
