ABSTRACT:
This two year study is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIA). Dr. Steven P. Hooker in the Prevention Research Center is the Principal Investigator. The major goals of this study are to identify individual, social, cultural and environmental factors that impact physical activity beliefs, preferences, and behaviors among African American men and to pilot test a culturally relevant and gender-appropriate program among older African American men.
