What are the minimum GPA requirements to transfer into
the program?
You must have a 2.75 or better GPA to transfer into
Exercise Science.
When can I begin taking Exercise Science courses?
You must take specific prerequisites, and earn a grade
of "C" or better, before you can take any 200 level or
higher Exercise Science course. These courses include
English composition (6 hours), Biology (8 hours), Chemistry
(4 hours), and Calculus (4 hours).
What kind of job can I get after I graduate from
Exercise Science?
Exercise Science is a professional program. It is designed
to prepare the student for entry into graduate professional
programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy,
speech therapy, medical school, physician's assistant,
cardiac rehabilitation, and graduate school.
How long will it take to graduate?
The undergraduate program in Exercise Science is very
demanding. It is not unusual for student to attend summer
school in order to complete the requirements for graduation
in 4 years. Transfer students who have not completed the
prerequisites prior to being accepted into the Exercise
Science program, should expect to add at least 1 year to
their program.
