Relay For Life @ USC, Friday, April 20th, 2012 at the USC Blatt PE Fields

The Arnold School and SC Public Health Association Student Forum have teamed up for Relay For Life @ USC (fundraiser for the American Cancer Society) and would like for you to join us! The event is scheduled for Friday, April 20th, 2012 at the USC Blatt PE Fields.

Please click on the link to access the team's website. Through this website you can click on links to join our team (Arnold School of Public Health/SC Public Health Association Student Forum) or just to make a donation to the team. The donation for joining the team is $10 and that money goes towards our team goal ($1500!).

Once you have joined Team Arnold School of Public Health/SC Public Health Association Student Forum, you can use the website to send emails to family and friends asking them to donate online and you can also check the progress our team is making toward our goal of $1500!

All faculty, staff, and students of the Arnold School and members of the SCPHA Student Forum are encouraged to join our team, but anyone (i.e. your friends and family) can join too!

Below are our team's fundraisers. We would love your help!

  • We will be selling Relay For Life (paper) "cupcakes" to support cancer patients "fighting for a world with less cancer and more birthdays". We are asking for donations of $1.00 (but we would love more!) and we will display them with your name (and in honor of or memory of someone with cancer) on the 1st floor of the HESC building.
  • We will be selling Luminary Bags for $10.00. A Luminary Bag is a bag with a lit candle that is placed on the track in honor or in memory of those who you love who have or have had cancer. You may purchase a luminary bag on-line (at the link above) or by completing the attached form and submitting it to your DSAC representative or the Office of Student Services (HESC 112).
  • Coin wars "Change for a Cure": Each department will war against each other to collect the most change. We will place jars for your coins in your departments (locations and collection time TBA). So bring your change and let the games begin! The winner will keep the Coin War trophy in their department for the next year!

    Thanks for your help!
