New Student Information
Congratulations on your acceptance to the Arnold School of Public Health
at the University of South Carolina! To officially welcome you and
familiarize you with the services and programs available to you as a
graduate student, we will be holding an Academic Seminar and Orientation
Program on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. More information and an agenda about
this event are posted below. (An email was sent to all newly admitted
students as well.) New Summer and Fall admits are invited to attend the
Orientation and will be advised for Fall classes at this time. Please review
the information posted on this site carefully. Simply click on the bullet

Information for New Students
The Office of Student and Alumni Services at the Arnold School of Public
Health also has brochures available on the bookshelves in the office (HESC
112) or on the table outside the office in the hallway. A particular item
that may be of interest to new students is the “Discover Carolina” booklet
that provides information about life at Carolina.

University of South Carolina Certificate Programs
Graduate students at the University of South Carolina are only allowed to be
enrolled in one degree program at a time unless the degree is a dual degree
or the student has received special permission for concurrent enrollment.
Certificate programs are the exception. Graduate students are allowed to be
enrolled in a degree program and a certificate program at the same time.
There are currently 16 graduate certificate programs. We have added links to
the list below for the most popular certificate programs for Public Health
students. For a more complete listing and further information please refer
to the Graduate Studies Bulletin at the
Graduate School website.
