Speech-Language Pathology Leveling
Courses
Offered Through Distance Education
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers
a complete program of speech-language pathology leveling courses
available through distance education. These courses are designed
for students interested in pursuing a career in speech-language
pathology but who lack undergraduate prerequisite coursework for
admission into a graduate program. The following courses are
scheduled each semester to allow students to begin the sequence
in either fall or spring:
- COMD J501 – Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech and
Hearing Mechanism
- COMD J507 – Language Theory and Phonetics
- COMD J570 – Introduction to Language Development
- COMD J526 – Disorders of Articulation Disorders:
Evaluation and Therapy
To enroll in any of these courses, an individual must first
be admitted to the Graduate School as a non-degree student. For
