Fred received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at
Université Paris Descartes, France in 2002 under the
direction of Christian Lorenzi. He worked as a Research
Scientist at Intrason France S.A., and as a Faculty
Research Associate in Sid Bacon’s Psychoacoustics
Laboratory at Arizona State University prior to coming
to the Speech Psychoacoustics Laboratory. His research
interests focus on characterizing speech perception by
the normal and the impaired ear and developing new
rehabilitation strategies for cochlear implant and
hearing aid users. Fred is the author/coauthor of a
number of papers, a book chapter, and a patent. He has
also presented a number of papers at professional
meetings around the world. He is the recipient of grants
from the Agence National de la Recherche Technique and
the Fondation de l’Avenir pour la Recherche Médicale
Appliquée, and has taught courses in Psychology and
Computer Science. |
