All students are required to have a criminal background check prior to entering the program. Individuals who have been residents of South Carolina for 1 year complete processing through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Proof of residency (South Carolina driver’s license with an issue date of at least 12 months prior to graduate enrollment, proof of taxes paid as a SC resident during the previous year, or proof of residency in an apartment or home during the previous 12 months) is required. Out of state residents complete processing through the state in which they have resided in for one year. Students are responsible for all fees associated with the background check.
