SPH RESEARCH ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
Purpose
The Arnold School of Public Health’s Research
Advisory Committee serves in an advising capacity
to the school’s associate dean for research
and the director of the Office of Research (OR). The
purposes of the committee are to:
advise
the school’s Office of Research regarding ways
to increase the school’s research productivity;
- recommend
specific research topics and directions for development
within the school;
- provide
guidance on protocols for all research functions
at the school;
- review
new research policies and procedures developed
by the OR;
- serve
as a communication link between the OR and faculty
and staff within the member’s individual
unit/department.
Committee Members
The Research Advisory
Committee is composed of one faculty representative
from each academic unit and research center within
the school, as well and the associate dean for research
and the director of the Office of Research. Faculty
members are appointed by the associate dean for research
in conjunction with department chairs/center directors. Members
typically serve for a period of one year.
Committee Chair and Chair Responsibilities
The committee is chaired by the associate dean for
research. Typically the committee meets twice
per semester for approximately 90 minutes. |
