S.C. BIOTERRORISM PREPAREDNESS AND
RESPONSE
TRAINING NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The USC Center for Public Health Preparedness is collaborating
with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and the South Carolina
Training Advisory Sub-Committee (TASC) to conduct training needs assessments. The assessment
on this site was designed by the TASC members to help determine what education and training are
needed to prepare the responding communities for a potential biological attack or other public
health emergencies.
Comprehensive emergency management requires careful planning and
close working relationship among all agencies. It is important for each member of an organization’s
emergency response team to have comparable training and skills in order for operations to run
smoothly and consistently in emergency events.
The results of this survey will be used to recommend, plan, and
coordinate training for community response partners. Your input is very important to ensure that
appropriate training is developed and made available to you. The survey can be completed in 10
to 15 minutes. Individual responses will remain anonymous. A summary of the surveys results will
be provided to each participating organization.
Homeland security is more important now
than ever, and with your help, we can ensure that citizens in South
Carolina are prepared for public health emergencies. Your time and
participation are greatly appreciated. Let’s work together to keep South
Carolina safe. IIf you would like additional information regarding the
survey, please contact Lu Anne Ellison at
