Starting in the fall of 2006, the USC-CPHP will be offering applied research opportunities for doctoral-level students in public health, psychology or social work who are interested in conducting their dissertations on topics or projects in which the USC-CPHP is involved. Master's-level students interested in doing their residency, practicum or internship within the Center are also encouraged to contact us for opportunities.

You may also view a brochure about the opportunities available as well. Doctoral-level students should follow THIS link, and Master's-level students should click HERE for more information.

Because of the complexities and intricacies of the SC school system, which is comprised of 85 school districts, the 2005-2006 year is devoted to brainstorming and planning for the upcoming school preparedness training initiative. A training needs assessment is being conducted in designated schools/districts. The results of this initial assessment serve to identify the training topics and activities for the schools. In addition, key partners are being identified for inclusion in a school emergency preparedness training planning taskforce.
