Amateur (HAM) Radio Operators' Technician Licensing Course

Audience:

This class is for all individuals interested in becoming amateur (ham) radio operators. We are recruiting volunteers to support emergency response organizations (hospitals, shelters, healthcare facilities, and other health and medical ESF-8 agencies). Individuals who work for or will volunteer for these agencies will be given priority seating.

Credit:

Participants who take this training are prepared to take the Technician Licensing Examination, which will be offered on the second day of the training after lunch.

Cost:

No cost to you for training. Licensing examination costs $15 (cash or check).

Description:

This is a two-day event to prepare participants to pass the Amateur (Ham) Radio Operators’ Technician Licensing Exam.

Materials:

Each applicant will receive study material by e-mail prior to the first day of the class.
The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual for Level 1 Technician will be given to participants on the first day of class at no cost. However, if you wish to receive your manual prior to the class, you can order it for $24.95 at http://www.arrl.org/catalog/?item=9639#top.
