The town of Irmo, SC earned national recognition this week when it was named
among the country's most affordable places to live by Money Magazine.
"We knew this was a great place to live 34 years ago," said Chuck Larsen,
CEO of the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce. "That's why we moved here."
Irmo was rated in the magazine's "Best Places to Live' segment as 12th in
the nation in the "Most Affordable Places" category. The article was posted
on the CNN Web site. Listed under "Where homes are affordable" category,
Irmo is one of "25 towns where… residents, who buy real estate, stretch
their incomes…"
