Graduate Assistants - Students who are
awarded a graduate assistantship are charged the in-state
tuition rate and may also be awarded a tuition supplement
from the department.
*The Certified Teacher rate applies to
non-resident students who teach in
the SC public schools. |
| Other One-Time Required Fees |

Matriculation Fee A non-refundable matriculation fee of $50 is assessed to all degree-seeking students on a one-time Basis. This fee is also assessed each time a student changes the degree sought.

| Health Insurance |
|
| Enrollment in the University sponsored health insurance
plan is mandatory for graduate assistants, international
students, and full-time students (9 or more hours) unless
they present evidence of satisfactory alternative health
coverage. Part-time students (less than 9 hours) are
also eligible to purchase the University sponsored health
insurance plan, but enrollment is not required. Students may also choose to provide University sponsored health insurance coverage for their spouses and children. Students who are covered by their own or a family policy must complete a waiver form (from the Thompson Student Health Center) in order to avoid being billed for student insurance.
